About my services

I have worked as a Dog Daycare Attendant for 2 years now. I feed dogs, portion their medication, and help handle/manage their exercise and behavior. I have worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, & sizes. I have experience handling myself around 40+ dogs in a playroom setting, and I am trained in canine CPR.

I currently have a rescue dog, who I’ve had for a year, a rat, who is almost 2, and a rescue kitty, who I’ve had since I was 9. Handling dogs is something I learned from my family, as we owned many large breeds and working dogs over the years, though I have refined it working at a Dog Daycare Center. I take animal care very seriously. I am excited to do the same for your pup or kitty!

Dog Walking Expectations:

Please allow me time to gauge your dog’s behavior. Some dogs are shy/anxious, and may require extra effort on my part to get them to trust me. With certain dogs, this may simply take TIME. You know your dog, please let me know if they are confident around new people or tend to be reserved/nervous. This goes for all services, not just dog walking.

Dog Visit Expectations:

Please inform me of any quirks your dog has when it comes to eating or potty-ing. (things like food aggression, reluctance to potty, picky eater, sensitive tummy, etc.) I like to plan for a max of 20-25 minutes for a walk when the booking is for 30 minutes. If you’d like a longer walk, I can accommodate for a small charge! Any other requests during a visit you can pass by me and I’d be happy to do it.

Cat Visit Expectations:

When it comes to kitty boxes, I normally scoop daily. Please tell me where to dispose of the clumps! Cats are fairly straightforward so please inform me of any other tasks you’d like me to complete. (things like medication, playtime, hair brushing, etc.)

Environment:

I love all dogs & cats! Any and all breeds are welcome! Every pet is different, so being understanding and able to adapt to the specific needs of your pet is important. When it comes to animal care, your pet’s comfort is everything. I am very secure in my belief that your pet will be safe & happy in my care. I will treat and love them as if they were my own.

Dog Sitting Expectations:

I want to be able to keep your dog’s routine as normal as possible. Let me know what a day normally looks like with your dog. Weekends can be structured so me and your pup can go on multiple walks or hikes. Let me know if you are interested, and we can start to set it up! I can also take your dog to the dog park! I do ask that I have time to gauge your dog’s body language and tendencies before doing so. This may take multiple solo visits or a visit with you present. If you’re curious, please ask.

Cat Sitting Expectations:

Please let me know what you’d like me to do with litter boxes, whether that’s scooping or completely replacing them. Tell me any specific concerns or suggestions about your kitty regarding things like play-time or exercise. I can accommodate outdoor time in an inclosed, safe environment where there is no risk of the cat escaping. If you’d like for your kitty to have outside enrichment time, I may ask to see the outdoor area prior to accommodating. If I don’t think it is safe, I may say no. (Disregard this if your cat is an outdoor cat!)

Puppy Expectations:

All animals in my care MUST be up to date on vaccines. Check out the "Extras" tabs for more information on vaccine requirements. If your puppy isn't potty trained, please let me know, and I'd be happy to aid in any training you are implementing. Puppies can be a ball of unpredictability, so please inform me of any odd behaviors. Even the most seemingly unimportant ones can prove destructive or dangerous!

Please let me know if your pet has health or behavioral concerns, so I can accommodate you and your pet as best as possible. This includes any bite history or reactivity related issues. You know your pet best, please tell me anything important. I also ask that you inform me if your dog is not fully vaccinated, as I have a dog myself. (Fully Vaccinated= Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP or DHLPP)

*I am not able to administer medications via injection, I am sorry for the inconvenience*

*As of now I do not accept any pups with aggression concerns before having 2 meet & greets at a neutral location with you present. I do this for the comfort of your pup and my safety*

At least one meet & greet is required, but sometimes that's simply not enough. Please reach out to me 4-5 days prior to your intended service if your dog needs these structured introductions. I reserve the right to decline a service if I feel your dog's temperament is outside my area of expertise.
